The snow sports community has lost Sarah Burke, one of sking’s finest riders after a ski injury that left her with a severe brain injury. Sarah was one of the best known (if not the best) female freeskier’s and has been credited with helping to bring the skiing superpipe to the winter X-games and to the winter Olympics. She was also an inspiration to female skiers, with her incredible style and her love for the sport.
Her spirit, style and infectious love for snowsports will be dearly missed by all who were close to her, and those of us who got the opportunity to just watch her ride at the X-games or in films. Donations can be made in her honor at www.giveforward.com/sarahburke
Here’s a little video we came across that give’s you just a little taste of what the world is going to be missing. R.I.P Sarah
