New Rock Formations Discovered at Portland Rock Gym! Written by Mike.S on March 1st, 2012

Over time the Portland Rock Gym has formed into a palace of play for experienced and novice climbers alike. Lead, Top rope, crack, and boulder climbing ensue, “yoga for climbers” is taught, kids develop technique, and fun is had by all. But there are some changes in the works, though nothing that will hinder the experience and fun of PRG.

According to the Portland Rock Gym website:

“The PRG has hired Entre Prises in Bend, Oregon to add another 3000 sq. ft. of lead and top-rope terrain to replace the top-out boulder. They will also replace our three cracks with new and more realistic cracks. The new wall will host 11 new anchors and 22 new routes. The project is currently being engineered and will be completed Spring 2012. The PRG will be open during construction.”
