Backcountry Love with Brian Iguchi and Friends Written by Mike.S on February 21st, 2012

Well, if there were ever a way to show friends and strangers you truly care about them on Valentine’s Day, it’s teaching them the basics of backcountry awareness! So the caring hearts of Brian Iguchi and friends stopped by US Outdoor to give patrons a glimpse into the beautiful backcountry and the dangers that lay unseen to an untrained eye. Through knowledge and first hand experience, Brian Iguchi and friends spoke about warning signs, weather conditions, and even scratched the surface of mathematics. The experience is enough to make skiers and snowboarders want to look even further into the world of backcountry skiing and snowboarding; beacons, shovels, and probes are necessary, but the ability to spot danger before it’s too late will save your life. Remember: luck favors the prepared! Brian Iguchi, Volcom, and US Outdoor hope all who are backcountry bound will take the time to learn, BACK COUNTRY AWARENESS. Happy trails!
