Mt. Bachelor and other Mountains to open for 4th of July Weekend! Written by katie on June 17th, 2011

Exciting/Breaking News! Turns out that the snow has stuck around long enough on Mt. Bachelor that they’ve decided to share the love by opening up opertations this 4th of July! Snowboarders and Skiers can enjoy the Summit express lift from 8a.m- 1p.m. from the 2nd- 4th! Lift tickets will be $30 for ski access, or if you’re not feeling like dusting off your board but still want to play on the Mountain, you can take the Pine Martin express lift to Mid-mountain and enjoy hiking, lunch and even live music for the weekend!

Other mountains have also seen enough snowfall that they’ve either stayed open or will be following Bachelor by opening for the 4th of July! These include: Crystal Mountain in Washington, Mammoth Mountain and Arapahoe Basin in Cali, Snowbird in Utah, AND of course the open year round and Oregon favorite, Timberline Lodge. Squaw Valley is planning on opening for the 4th of July as well!

So, if you feel like trying something different this 4th of July, load up your ski gear and make your way up to one of these fine resorts! I know Bachelor is exactly where I’ll be this year!
